TARA joined over 100 participants from 40 countries worldwide at the XXIII Valcamonica Symposium, held in Capo di Ponte Valcamonica, Italy, from 28th October to 2nd November. The symposium was characterised by multidisciplinary approaches, with the principal themes being: decoding and interpretation of world rock art, conservation and improvements of world rock art and other prehistoric sites, museology, prehistoric art and psychoanalysis. Over a period of six days, 70 papers were presented in eight sessions. TARA was represented at the Symposium but its Chief Executive Officer, Terry Little. Proposals are already being made for the XXIV Symposium, scheduled to take place in July 2011. (30-11-09) |
