Rock Art Educational Studio at the Nairobi National Museum
TARA held its first educational studio session for 6-9 year olds at the Nairobi National Museum on the 9th of July 2009. The 2-hour studio session was attended by 13 students and three teachers from the Little Scholars Academy School in Nairobi.
The students toured TARA's "Dawn of Imagination" gallery and answered questions from what they learnt. They later participated in an epic quiz at the 'Wheel of Knowledge' an interactive game in the exhibition. As a way of nurturing and developing their drawing skills, the students also took part in a rock art drawing session.
The best drawings will be published in a magazine about rock art in the coming months.
