PORINI Association is a  Kenyan  organisation founded in the year 2005 by a team of like-minded individuals who  believe in environmental conservation and the strengthening of local community governance.  The article by Terry Little,  discusses  rock art as spiritual resource for communities, the threats the art faces and how communities can be involved in its long term preservation.  TARA shares PORINi’s belief that conservation of both natural and cultural resources is a function of  cultural wisdom and commitment from communities.
