International Rock Art Symposium (Cuba) |

November 24-28, 2008
The Cuban Group of Rock Art Researchers (GCIA, El Grupo Cubano de Investigadores de Arte Rupestre) and the Cuban Institute of Anthropology (ICAN, Instituto Cubano de Antropología) invite participation in the International Symposium on Rock Art to be held in Havana, Cuba, collaterally with the 2008 International Conference on Anthropology, and the 2008 International Colloquium on Archaeology, during the autumnal days of November 24th through November 28th, 2008.
The gathering will foster frank and open discussions of rock art theory, a sharing of experiences and discoveries, and the presentation of the most cutting-edge methodologies being implemented in rock art investigations world-wide.

Registration |
|
This workshop is intended for professionals,
students and others with interests related to the
study, management and preservation of graphic representations
on rock, or "rock art". Registration fees for the
conference before August 31, 2008 are:

$70 for professionals |
|
$40 for students (requiring appropriate documentation) |
After 31 August, fees increase to $100 and $70, respectively.
The fee for those who accompany registered participants
will be $50 until August 31, and $80 thereafter.
This fee includes a certificate of participation,
a paper copy and CD of all papers presented, welcoming
refreshments, participation in the events and activities,
as well as coffee breaks.
