Memorandum
of Understanding with National Museums of Kenya
TARA and the National
Museums of Kenya entered into a five year Memorandum
of Understanding to survey and conserve rock art
sites in Kenya, create awareness about sites, develop
responsible tourism as a way of ensuring their long
term preservation. TARA has worked closely with
the National Museums of Kenya in the in rock art
heritage management and this was a renewal of the
earlier MOU between the two institutions. With this
collaboration, TARA hopes to achieve great strides
in management of rock art heritage for the benefit
of the community in Kenya.
